Ashley Esry, LCSW, LCAS

Hello!

Hi! I'm Ashley Esry (she/her) LCSW, LCAS and I have been practicing as a therapist for over five years! I primarily help folks with anxiety, trauma, and attachment wounds.

I like to make therapy practical- first focusing on skills to help you feel safe and stable in daily life, than moving into the deeper, embodied work to heal from your past and create your ideal future.

About Me

I grew up in New Hampshire where I discovered my love for the outdoors and passion for the mental health field. I studied Counseling and Expressive Arts Therapy at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA before moving to North Carolina in 2015. Most of my work was involved in recovery from addiction and dual-diagnosis mental health concerns until I completed my Masters of Social Work from the University of North Carolina in 2020. Shortly after graduating I transitioned to private practice, specializing in mood disorders and trauma.

When I'm not a therapist, I enjoy hiking, traveling, tennis, reading, and playing board games. I live with my husband, dog, and cat in a tiny home.
